I really enjoyed to stay in your home.
All of your family were very warm and kind, so we enjoyed accompany with them.
Also we all were amazed to taste the good food!
(The indian food I like the most was prampoli, so I was extremely happy to have that!!)
I would like to recommend your village to visit to other Japanese people living in Pune.
It was a nice experience to see the nature, animals, and life of agricultural family.
Thank you so much for letting us stay with your family.

Currently this village is having a peacock sanctuary which shelters more than two thousands of peacocks. & we expect double of that in next few years.
I hope after reading this blog ,you people definitely want to visit this awesome Place “Morachi Chincholi”.

Keep it up. Good work chap. Its good thing done by youngsters for their own village. It’ll surely help economically to this beautiful village.

About the charges, Dattarya and his family said we need to keep the money in front of the God whatever we thought was appropriate. It didn’t really matter whatever we kept. They even called back in the evening to check whether we had reached safely.
I was deeply moved to see how these simple people lived, kept a complete faith in humanity and struggle to preserve our tradition. It was far far away from the material world running like crazy after money!

I visited this place on 20th November with my family (day visit). The place is serene, quiet and really lovely. Thopate family’s hospitality was very good. Mr Thopate’s precise navigating helped us to visit Nighoj kund nearby (around 23km) quite easily. Food too was excellent. Its a typical village life (visiting farms, bullock cart, tractor ride, etc). People expecting resort like treatment should start enjoying this kind of atmosphere.
We saw almost a dozen peacocks and peahens in the evening. One of the peacock was just outside our car for almost half an hour. My only suggestion is people should remain completely quiet to observe peacocks. Only then can we see larger numbers. And of course they certainly do not seem to be Mr Thopate’s pets as commented by people here.
Anway, a really wonderful experience. Thanks!
People all over the world get the loan from various creditors, just because this is simple and comfortable.
We visited this panoramic location on 27 th oct 2011.It is pleasant , peaceful and peacocks are a divine sight. Mr Janardhan does his best to explain the Agriculture he is doing in the 8 acre plot and is very helpful.Overnight stay is must for siting peacock dance. recommend going on non week ends for maximum comfort.
Peace & tranquility is well practiced in this location close to (20kms) from Sikrapur , off Pune Nagar road. One can enjoy the serenity just 50 kms away form pune….
also Mr. Thopte was so rude to us that he even didnt allow us to go in his farms, as he always thinks that people will destroy his farm.He charged us 100/- per head only for a cup of coffee and one plate kanda bhajii.
watching peacocks was fun….but.. unfortunately the food was not worth. I visited this place twice but both the times our experience about the food was not good. It was tasteless.
Though watching peocock is fun… but watching peocock at Mauli Krushi Paryatan kendra would NOT be fun rather you would feel disgust, the way you are handled unprofessionaly by these people.
There are many paryatan kedra are available to see peococks.
I will suggest people not to go at Mauli Paryatan kedra. As we had faced the bad treatment from the Mr Janarthan Thopade Tour Guide.
We could only see 1 peacock and I think it was a pet to this family. Lots of ‘Landor’ birds around. Lady asked for 50 Rs per person for a visit of 1 hour. There are no boards or even on website information around what the charges are to visit this place. This is a pvt place and not run by Govt.
Please keep low expectations and do not go just based on this website!
Hey, I can’t view your site properly within Opera, I actually hope you look into fixing this.
I have visited the same place, Mauli Krushi Parytan Kendra once, it was a warm welcome by the family members. but it is suggested for a day tour only. not for stay. as there is lot of scope for improvement.
I had got a dream to start my organization, however I did not have got enough amount of money to do this. Thank heaven my friend proposed to take the loan. So I took the financial loan and realized my dream.
We came at Morachi Chincholi on 12th April, 2011. We stayed there one day and we experienced very kind hospitality. Mr.Thopate and his wife welcomed us very nicely. We enjoyed peace and true face of nature. The food quality was amazing. We wish to visit Morachi Chincholi again. Thanx.
Hi Ajay,
Thanks for your valuable feedback. I’ve kept all those feedback received, irrespective of positive or negative. Because its everyone’s view. I strongly agree with your one point that, tourists expecting “Resort” like environment will get disappointed. We at Mauli Agri Tourism kept complete village environment, so that our young generation (from City) will come to know our culture.
Thanks.
We visited this place on 12-13 Feb 2011. I had read thru some negative comments on the site but still decided to go ahead in good faith. The decision was right – it was a lovely stay. But I can see why many people have given negative remarks. I think people who expect Resort-like environment (fenced complex with watchman, servants all around to look after your smallest needs etc.) will be disappointed. Me & my wife, daughter were looking for a real village family set-up to visit – that was completely fulfilled. The simplicity, warmth was at the core of Mr. Thopte’s family. Peacocks – yes we could see many of them near the house as well as in farms around. It’s wrong to expect that peacocks will line up for visitors. People with that expectation will be disappointed for sure. Peacocks are always wild animals. We need to understand their daily routine and have some patience. For us, Thopte family, the house, farm & Tiger (dog) itself was a real enjoyment. We could see peacocks was an additional bonus.
i was completely disappointed when i came 2day
I visited Chincholi Morachi . Very disappointed . Though Peacock could be seen . The place Mauli Krishi place is notupto the mark . After reaching there after 70 kms of driving I felt it is not worth paying the amount for the visit .
We would love to come over to see your village. Let’s see when it becomes a possibility.
We visited this place last weekend (16th Jan,2010) and opted to stay back with your family. The place was beautiful with greenery all around. After a sumptuous lunch we went around the fields with a young boy ‘babu’ , who showed us and around the fields also guiding us on good locations for taking some snaps.
Afternoon was spent at leisure , lazing around trees .
Evening was calm and serene , with delicious food under the skies watching stars. We could see few peacocks in the evening and then again early morning, we preferred watching them from a distance as told by our hosts.
The place is good if you want to enjoy in peace, Simplicity of their lives is what you end up admiring.
We Thank Mr.Janardhan and his wife Mrs nirmala for their courtesy and would definitely like to come back and stay again.
hi everyone ,
I want to vigit this place.
can anyone guide me about how to reach this place.
i am from hyderabad .
from pune how much is the distance & facility about travelling .
I visited Marachi Chincoli 15 days back.
We could see very few (8-9nos) of peacocks in the complete overnight stay of 1day(24hrs).
The peacocks were very far to be seen for us.
Spending 500 per head just for Bhakri and pithle is very expensive.
Instead visit a zoo and you will see better peacocks there.
Thopate family gave a warm welcome. But they are taking ample money for that.
Not recommandable at all.

Dattatraya,
I hope you will remind us when we have to Morachi chincholi with your sister & Jijusa, Shri. Krishna Walke sir(Siddhant Institute of Business Management, Sadumbare).
We just cannot forget the “Sabudanyachi Khichadi” in Topali prepared by Mavashi. We eat Khichdi below tree of chinch. It was delicious.
Tour on that day was fascinating and we were amazed to see the love of man & birds, magic of water and rocks and huge curve beautiful, peaceful temple of Devi. We enjoyed the love and blesings of love from the nature.
I have this site first time. Site preparation, photos uploaded are very good. It will be good if you can add photos of wooden houses built near the tree of Chinch, chinchechi zade, Zoke its more pleasing & appealing to the nature lovers !!!
Hats off for all your family and friends in togethering all this info, service and courtacy to all of us!!! All the best for your bright future coming in ur life near future………
n special thanks to Krishna Sir,
Thanks a lot for this forum as well,
Yogesh Gajare, Nigdi, Pune
It was an amazing experience. We went to Morachi Chincholi with 6 persons.
Dattatraya actively took us in the fields. We had a nice photo session there. We saw beutiful peacocks in the fields. Even we saw the dancing peacock.
The food was very delicious. It really reflected the love & gratitude of Mawshi (Dattatraya’s mother). It was totally homemade.
Later, we requested Dattatraya to take us to the nearby spots. We went on the bikes. He really entertained us by taking us to the places nearby.
One thing is for sure, if you go there once, definitely you are bound to go again & again in the beautiful pollution free nature!
Thanks to everyone for making the trip unforgettable.
Hi Mayur,
This website of Morachi Chincholi is dedicated for Nature lovers like you!! Hope you enjoyed your stay over my home town and will make another visit with your loving ones.

HI Tanmaya,
its an amazing idea of making this website. its frm here that i came to know of ur morachi chincholi n now am taking our entire office team there for an outing…. i have just one suggestion… as for the rest of the pages, right click unabled is fine but for the page of route to chincholi, i guess if u allow right click, it will help ppl in takin printout of route as ready reference while they are on their way to ur town….
anyways.. we r lookin forward for our trip this weekend !! and ur brother dattatry has been very helpful in organising our trip there.
Cheers !
Hi Gauri,
You can contact anytime to Dattatraya regarding your visit, as you said, Panchayat should arrange the travel facility, but right now we are in the process of getting necessary resources and financial help for the same.
Hope very shortly you will come to this heavenly place to visit….
Nice well designed blog ..I have watched this place on Surabhi DD1 ..the only problem i see visiting is there is no direct connectivity from Pune ..there is just 1 bus from shivaji Nagar that too at odd hours if we can join in groups and arrange for transport that would be good.
Suggestion:
1) List down members travelling over a weekend on your blog many ppl travelling single can pitch in.
2) Please mention the budget of travel , clarity keeps things healthy:)!
3) Since it is rainy season a lot more ppl would like to see the village ..why not ask the panchayat to make arrangement for travel and make it a eco-tourist destination..
Hi Tanmay,
I visited “Morachi Chincholi” in June 2006 and since then I am completely in love with this place. Visiting 2nd time was as exciting as 1st one.
Special thanks to Dattatraya for spending his precious time with me.
